Twin brothers from Malkangiri emerge as joint district toppers in Class 10 board exams

Bhubaneswar, May 3: In an inspiring display of academic brilliance, twin brothers from Malkangiri district have made headlines by becoming joint district toppers in the Class 10 board examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha.
Daniel Lenka and Dambaru Lenka, both students of Saberi High School in Kalimela block, scored an impressive 560 marks out of 600 each—despite securing different marks in individual subjects. Their identical overall score has surprised many and brought widespread admiration for their rare academic feat. Sons of Mohan Lenka, the twins share not only the same birthdate and school but now also the distinction of being district toppers together.
Their achievement has sparked celebrations in the district, with congratulations pouring in from teachers, classmates, and local residents. They are now being hailed as role models for fellow students across the region.
This year, 8,038 students appeared for the matric exam in Malkangiri, with 7,750 passing, bringing the district’s pass percentage to an impressive 96.41%.
