Bhubaneswar, May 2: A tragic incident unfolded in Tihuri village under Balipatana police limits on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, where a 15-year-old boy allegedly killed his father following a heated family dispute. The incident took place just a day before the publication of matriculation exam results, for which the minor had appeared.

The deceased has been identified as Gajaraj Bhoi. According to police sources and local reports, Gajaraj, who was reportedly under the influence of alcohol, began creating a commotion at home. This led to an intense altercation with his teenage son.

The argument soon escalated, and in a fit of rage, the boy allegedly attacked his father with a rod, striking him on the head. The blow caused critical injuries. Gajaraj was immediately rushed to Adaspur Hospital, but doctors declared him brought dead.

Police have seized the body and sent it for post-mortem examination. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the full circumstances surrounding the incident and determine appropriate legal action.
