CM Mohan Majhi announces relief package for family of Odia man killed in Pahalgam terror attack

Bhubaneswar, April 24: In a heartfelt gesture of solidarity, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced a comprehensive relief package for the family of Prashant Kumar Satpathy, the young Odia man from Balasore who was killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
The Chief Minister declared a financial assistance of ₹20 lakh to support Prashant’s grieving family. In addition, his wife Priyadarshini will be provided with a government job, and the entire education expenses of their nine-year-old son will be borne by the state government. Other benefits and entitlements will also be extended to help the family rebuild their lives.
CM Majhi personally visited Prashant’s native village to pay his last respects. He expressed deep sorrow and outrage over the heinous attack and assured the bereaved family of the government's unwavering support. The Chief Minister was visibly emotional during the visit, emphasizing that the state stands firmly with the victims of such tragic incidents.
The family was returning from a ropeway ride in Pahalgam when unidentified terrorists opened fire, and Prashant was fatally shot in the head amidst the chaos.
