Subhadra Yojana: Sixth instalment to be disbursed on April 24, confirms Odisha Deputy CM

Bhubaneswar, April 19: Bringing cheer to women across Odisha, the sixth instalment of the Subhadra Yojana financial assistance will be disbursed on April 24, as announced by Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida. The distribution will take place at a special event in Puri.
Initially scheduled for April 22 and 23, the date was revised to ensure smooth and coordinated delivery of funds. Women who applied for the scheme on or before March 31 will be eligible to receive this instalment. Each beneficiary will receive Rs 5,000 per instalment, with the upcoming disbursement covering two pending instalments, totaling Rs 10,000.
This instalment will also benefit eligible women who were previously excluded from the list of 1.7 lakh beneficiaries. To ensure no eligible woman is left out, the Odisha government conducted an extensive door-to-door survey across the state. Field officials visited households to verify applications and include those previously deprived.
The Subhadra Yojana provides Rs 10,000 annually to women in two equal instalments. The last instalment was distributed on March 8, coinciding with International Women’s Day, benefitting nearly 1 crore women, with the government releasing Rs 5,000 crore for the initiative.
