Bhubaneswar, April 9: In a shocking incident, two police constables were stabbed while attempting to intervene in a family dispute at Tensa C Block under Koida police station limits in Sundargarh district. The incident occurred when the constables, responding to a call about a fight between two families, were attacked by one of the individuals involved.

According to reports, the constables from the Tensa outpost had reached the scene to de-escalate the situation. However, during the attempt to pacify both sides, a man suddenly attacked them with a knife, inflicting serious injuries. The injured policemen were immediately rushed to Tensa Hospital for treatment. One of the constables, who was critically injured, was later shifted to Ispat General Hospital in Rourkela for advanced medical care.

Police have detained members of the families involved and confirmed that the attacker will soon be arrested. Senior officers have reached the spot, and a detailed investigation is underway. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of police personnel while performing their duties in sensitive and volatile situations.
