Subhadra Yojana: financial aid for previously excluded beneficiaries to be disbursed on April 22-23

Bhubaneswar, April 7: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced on Monday that eligible beneficiaries who were previously excluded from the Subhadra Yojana will receive financial assistance on April 22 and 23. The decision comes after a detailed verification process aimed at weeding out ineligible beneficiaries and ensuring rightful inclusion.
Speaking to the media after attending the Yoga Mahotsav at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, Parida said, “We have received nearly 1.7 lakh new applications. These were forwarded to the respective district headquarters on April 2. Based on a survey, financial aid will be disbursed to the verified eligible applicants on April 22 and 23.”
She also revealed that during personal interactions with five rejected beneficiaries, it was found that they had initially received the first installment but were later disqualified for availing loans and declaring income above ₹5 lakh. To ensure genuine beneficiaries are not left out, a fresh door-to-door verification survey will begin on April 14.
Parida clarified that no new applications will be accepted going forward. However, a special outreach initiative will be undertaken to resolve pending cases and ensure all deserving beneficiaries receive their due support.
