One dead, another critical in motorcycle bomb blast in Khordha

Bhubaneswar, April 7: A powerful bomb explosion in the early hours of Monday claimed one life and left another person critically injured near Biswal Sahi in Shedheiagarh village of Khordha district. The deceased has been identified as Nirakar Singh, while the injured individual, Lulu Senapati, is currently undergoing treatment at AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred when the two men were allegedly transporting a crude bomb on a motorcycle. The explosive detonated unexpectedly while they were en route, killing Singh on the spot and leaving Senapati with severe injuries. He was first taken to a nearby hospital, but due to the seriousness of his condition, he was later shifted to AIIMS for intensive care.
The blast was so intense that it completely destroyed the motorcycle, scattering debris across the area and alarming local residents. The motive behind carrying the bomb and its intended destination remain unclear.
Upon receiving the information, local police rushed to the scene and launched an investigation. A forensic team and bomb squad have also been deployed to examine the blast site and gather crucial evidence.
