BJP marks 45th Foundation Day with grand celebration in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, April 6: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrated its 45th Sthapna Diwas (Foundation Day) with great fervor at the party’s state headquarters in Bhubaneswar on Sunday. The event witnessed the participation of hundreds of enthusiastic party workers and top leaders, including Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, BJP State President Manmohan Samal, and party in-charge Vijay Pal Singh Tomar.

Addressing the gathering, BJP President Manmohan Samal expressed gratitude to the people of Odisha for their growing support. “The BJP currently has 40 lakh members in the state, and we are aiming to double this number within the year,” he said.

Chief Minister Majhi extended his heartfelt greetings on the occasion, highlighting the party’s growth and vision. “Heartiest greetings and congratulations to everyone on the foundation day of the world’s largest political party. With the dedication of every member, the BJP has transformed into a nationwide movement. Let us honor the determination and sacrifices of our karyakartas and work towards building a developed Odisha and India,” he stated.

Ahead of the main event, President Samal hoisted the party flag at his residence in Bhubaneswar, accompanied by a few party workers. Later, hundreds of supporters gathered at the BJP headquarters, waving flags and chanting slogans in support of the party’s leadership and ideology.

Speaking on the significance of the day, Samal added, “Today, as we celebrate the BJP’s 46th Foundation Day—coinciding with the holy occasion of Ram Navami—there is tremendous enthusiasm among our karyakartas. From our early struggles to now governing under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a third term, our journey has been marked by resilience and commitment, just as we were once guided by the legendary Atal Bihari Vajpayee.”
