Banks To Remain Closed on 24th and 25th
Bhubaneswar : Banks will remain closed on 24th and 25th. The UFBU (United Forum of Bank Unions) has called for a statewide bank strike with nine demands including a five-day working week in the banking sector, adequate employment in all cadres, regularization of temporary staff, etc. 37,000 employees of 6,000 bank branches will join the strike.
However, since Saturday and Sunday are weekly holidays on March 22nd and 23rd, banks will remain closed for four consecutive days till March 25th.
