Bhubaneswar, March 10: In a shocking incident, two minor siblings were found hanging inside their house under suspicious circumstances in Dhananchengada village under Fategarh police station on Monday. The deceased, identified as a 14-year-old boy and his 12-year-old brother, were discovered by their family members.

The incident came to light when residents noticed a foul smell emanating from a locked house near the Shiv Temple. Concerned villagers immediately informed Fategarh police, who rushed to the scene. Upon breaking open the door, police found the two minors hanging and seized their bodies for post-mortem examination. Authorities have yet to determine the exact cause of death.
According to sources, the siblings had lost their mother three years ago. Their maternal grandparents have alleged foul play, accusing the children’s father of murdering them to facilitate his plans for remarriage. They claim he later staged the crime scene to make it appear as a suicide.

The police have detained the father for questioning and are seeking the assistance of a forensic team to conduct a detailed investigation into the tragic incident.
