Youth critical, another injured in clash over supplying chits for class X exam in Keonjhar

Bhubaneswar, March 3: A violent clash between two groups over supplying chits to students appearing for the Class X examination left one youth critically injured and another wounded in Odisha’s Keonjhar district. The incident occurred in the Ghashipura area under Anandapur Sub-division.
According to reports, the fight broke out between youths from Baripal and Tarimul villages under Ghashipura Police limits. The dispute arose over control of cheating materials for students of Kushaleshwar High School in Deogan. The argument escalated at Sendhei Chhka, where the rival groups attacked each other, leading to severe injuries.
In the scuffle, Abhishek Das from Baripal village suffered critical injuries, while Soumya Ranjan Das from the same village sustained minor wounds. Locals alerted the police, who rushed to the scene and shifted the injured youths to a nearby hospital.
A formal complaint has been lodged, and police have launched an investigation into the matter. Authorities are also keeping a close watch to prevent further escalation of tensions in the area.
