JP Nadda inaugurates 9th National Healthcare Summit in Puri, highlights Odisha’s progress

Bhubaneswar, Feb 28: Union Minister and BJP National President JP Nadda inaugurated the 9th National Summit on Good and Replicable Practices in the Public Healthcare System in Puri, Odisha, on Friday. The summit aims to showcase successful healthcare initiatives and innovations from across the country.
In his address, Nadda praised the achievements of the National Health Mission (NHM) and highlighted the remarkable progress made in healthcare services. He particularly lauded Odisha’s improvements in the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR), acknowledging the state’s rapid advancements in reducing maternal deaths.
“The National Health Mission has done an excellent job, and our progress is commendable. Odisha has made significant strides in improving MMR, setting an example for the rest of the country,” Nadda stated.
Upon his arrival, Nadda was welcomed in Bhubaneswar before proceeding to Puri for the summit. Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida emphasized the significance of hosting such an event in the state. She also noted that Odisha is emerging as a key destination for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism, with international delegates experiencing the Eco-Retreat in Konark.
The Ministry of Health announced that Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, along with other senior officials, would also be present at the event.
