Bhubaneswar, Feb 13: Leader of Opposition and former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik reached out to check on the health condition of legendary Odia actor Uttam Mohanty, who is currently undergoing treatment at Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon. Patnaik spoke to the actor’s son, Babushan Mohanty, through a video call on Thursday to inquire about his father’s health.

During the conversation, Patnaik expressed his concern and wished for the veteran actor’s speedy recovery. Babushan informed the BJD supremo that his father is presently on ventilator support but remains in a stable condition. He also thanked Patnaik for his support and concern during this critical time.

Earlier, Uttam Mohanty was admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar due to severe liver complications. As his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon for advanced treatment. Fans and well-wishers across Odisha have been praying for his recovery, and many from the Odia film industry have extended their support to the family during this difficult period.
