IMD issues yellow warning for dense fog in Odisha
Bhubaneswar, Feb 6: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for dense fog affecting several districts in Odisha over the next 24 hours, prompting residents to exercise caution.
In its midday weather bulletin from the regional center in Bhubaneswar, the IMD indicated that dense fog is anticipated in one or two places within Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, and Khurda districts. Additionally, shallow to moderate fog is expected during the early morning hours in these regions, which may affect visibility.
On Saturday, dense fog is likely to persist in Ganjam and Nayagarh, with shallow to moderate fog also forecasted in the early morning across Puri, Gajapati, Khurda, Kandhamal, and Kalahandi districts.
With visibility significantly reduced during these conditions, the IMD has advised residents to exercise caution while traveling. Authorities are urging the public to adhere to safety guidelines, remain vigilant, and stay informed about weather updates to ensure their safety during these foggy conditions.
