CM Majhi Reviews Preparations for ODI Match at Barabati Stadium

Bhubaneswar, Jan 31: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi conducted a thorough review of the preparations for the upcoming One-Day International (ODI) cricket match between India and England, scheduled for February 9 at Barabati Stadium. During his visit on Friday, he released the welcome song specially composed for the event and announced plans for the stadium's reconstruction in the near future.
“The state government is committed to taking all necessary steps to ensure the success of the ODI match,” Chief Minister Majhi stated, emphasizing the importance of the event for Odisha's sporting culture.
Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) secretary Sanjay Behera provided updates on the match preparations, while Sports Minister Suryabansi Suraj, MLAs Prakash Behera and Devi Ranjan Tripathi, and Chief Minister’s Advisor Prakash Mishra also attended the review.
The Chief Minister inspected the stadium grounds, which can accommodate 44,574 spectators. Of these, 24,692 tickets will be available to the general public, with sales set to take place on February 5 and 6 at the Barabati counter.
