Veteran leader Biswabhusan Harichandan hospitalized, likely to be shifted to Hyderabad
Bhubaneswar, Jan 28: Veteran political leader and former Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Biswabhusan Harichandan, was admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday due to health complications.
The 85-year-old leader is currently under medical observation, and preparations are being made to transfer him to Hyderabad for advanced treatment. His son, Prithviraj Harichandan, Odisha’s Law and Excise Minister, confirmed the development and assured that a team of doctors is closely monitoring his condition.
Harichandan, a senior BJP leader and former Odisha minister, served as Governor of Andhra Pradesh from 2019 to 2023. His health update has raised concerns among political circles and well-wishers across the country.
This is not the first instance of his health issues, as Harichandan was previously hospitalized in Bhubaneswar in September last year for similar medical concerns. The veteran leader’s contributions to Odisha and his decades-long political career have earned him widespread respect and support during this challenging time.
