IMD issues yellow warning for dense fog in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Jan 23: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for January 25 and 26, predicting dense fog in several districts of Odisha. Dense fog is expected at one or two locations in Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Balasore, Khurda, and Cuttack on both days.
On January 25, shallow to moderate fog is likely to occur during the early morning in Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Balasore, Khurda, and Cuttack, as well as in isolated areas of Puri, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, and Kandhamal. A similar forecast has been issued for January 26, with foggy conditions persisting in the same districts and additional areas.
Residents in the fog-affected districts are advised to exercise caution while traveling during the early morning hours due to reduced visibility.
The regional weather office has also predicted a prolonged dry spell for Odisha, with no significant rainfall expected until January 30. Clear skies and dry conditions will prevail across the state during this period.
