Woman killed in Jharsuguda after husband’s brutal attack with brick

Bhubaneswar, Jan 20: In a shocking incident, a 47-year-old woman, identified as Saraswati Pradhan, was killed by her husband, Nehru Pradhan, in Gudam village under Rengali Police Station limits in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district on Monday.
According to reports, a heated argument erupted between the couple, which quickly escalated into a violent confrontation. In a fit of rage, Nehru attacked his wife with a brick, repeatedly striking her. Saraswati succumbed to her injuries on the spot.
Upon receiving information, police personnel from Rengali Police Station rushed to the scene and began an investigation. The accused husband was arrested and has been produced in court. A blood-soaked brick used in the crime was seized from the location as evidence.
The incident has left the local community in shock, highlighting the tragic consequences of domestic disputes turning violent. Police are continuing their investigation to uncover further details surrounding the case.
