Bhubaneswar, Jan 18: A Class IV student of Naya Bagapatia Primary School in Jajpur district tragically lost his life after falling from a swing during recess on Saturday.

The deceased, identified as Somyarajan Sahu, was the son of Nabaghana Sahu from Naya Bagapatia village. According to reports, Somyarajan was playing on the swing when he fell and sustained severe injuries. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after the accident.

The grieving father, Nabaghana Sahu, has alleged negligence on the part of the school staff, claiming that a lack of supervision led to the tragic incident. His accusations have prompted authorities to initiate a detailed investigation into the circumstances surrounding the mishap.

This heartbreaking incident has left the school community in shock, with villagers demanding accountability and stricter safety measures in schools to prevent such accidents in the future. Local police are currently probing the matter to ascertain the exact cause of the tragedy.
