Son of late Odisha Minister Naba Das detained by Chhattisgarh Police

Bhubaneswar, Jan 10: Bishal Das, son of the late Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader and former Odisha Health Minister Naba Das, was detained by Chhattisgarh police at the Saraipali police station on Friday. The detention also included several local leaders, such as Sarpanchs and Samiti members.
The police have not disclosed the exact reasons for Bishal’s detention, leaving supporters and the public seeking clarity. The incident gains significance as it occurred a day before a no-confidence motion against Krishnapriya Sahu, Chairman of the Kirmira Panchayat Samiti.
In a video message, Bishal confirmed his detention and expressed concerns over the circumstances surrounding the police action. The development has sparked protests among his supporters, who are demanding his immediate release and transparency regarding the motives behind the police operation.
The timing of the detention has raised eyebrows, with many speculating potential political undertones. Authorities are yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.
