Dense fog expected in several Odisha districts tomorrow

Bhubaneswar, Jan 4: Odisha is preparing for a foggy weekend, as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast dense fog in several districts for tomorrow.
A dense fog alert has been issued for Sundargarh, Kandhamal, Koraput, and Angul, where visibility is expected to be severely reduced in one or two locations. The IMD has issued yellow warnings for these districts, advising residents to exercise caution while traveling. The forecast states, “Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Kandhamal, Koraput, and Angul.”
Additionally, shallow to moderate fog is anticipated in Ganjam, Gajapati, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Kalahandi, Khurda, and Cuttack, affecting visibility but to a lesser extent.
In a broader outlook, the IMD has predicted dry weather conditions to persist across Odisha until January 11. Residents are advised to stay updated with weather reports and take necessary precautions while traveling in foggy conditions, particularly in affected districts.
