Sisters crushed to death in tractor mishap in Jajpur

Bhubaneswar, Jan 4: In a heartbreaking accident on Saturday, two sisters lost their lives when a tractor carrying a paddy harvesting machine overturned near the Jodabara area under Jajpur Road police limits in Odisha.
The victims, identified as Dulari Hansda and Rani Hansda, were daughters of Raju Hansda and residents of Majhi Sahi in the Jodabara area. According to reports, the tractor was transporting a paddy harvesting machine to the Jodabara area. The sisters were seated on the tractor when it lost balance and overturned into the Ganda Canal. Tragically, they were crushed under the vehicle and succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
Upon receiving information, Jajpur Road police rushed to the spot, recovered the bodies, and sent them for post-mortem examination. An investigation has been initiated to determine the cause of the incident, with authorities examining whether negligence or mechanical failure played a role. The tragic loss has left the local community in shock and grief.
