Odisha Government sets January 2025 for Subhadra Yojana fund disbursement
Bhubaneswar, Dec 21: The Odisha government has announced plans to disburse the fourth phase of the first installment under the Subhadra Yojana in January 2025.
Addressing the media on Friday, Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida stated that over 20 lakh beneficiaries would receive financial assistance next month. She attributed the delay in disbursing the funds to challenges in verifying documents. “We have set December 30 as the deadline for completing document verification. Once this process is finalized, we aim to release the funds in January,” Parida said.
On the inclusion of women from the Bonda tribe under the scheme, Parida revealed that over 12,000 women from the community had applied for assistance. Of these, 9,000 have already received their first installment, while 3,000 are awaiting the transfer to their bank accounts.
Initially, the government planned to release the fourth phase of funds on December 25 but postponed it due to the ongoing verification process. So far, the flagship Subhadra Yojana, launched under Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s leadership, has benefited 80 lakh women across the state.
