Burglars strike Subarna Jewellery store, steal gold and silver in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Dec 21: A burglary at Subarna Jewellery and Workshop store in Chakeisihani Market under Mancheswar police limits resulted in the theft of 2 kg of silver and 20 grams of gold, valued at several lakhs of rupees, on Friday night.
The shop owner, Brahma Sahoo, reported the incident to the police. According to initial investigations, the burglars gained entry by cutting through the shop's front door late at night. They proceeded to steal gold and silver items and deliberately disabled the CCTV cameras installed in the store. To hinder any potential evidence collection, the intruders also took the shop’s CCTV DVR (Digital Video Recorder) with them.
Upon receiving the report, Mancheswar police reached the spot and began their investigation. They are analyzing CCTV footage from nearby areas to track the culprits and ascertain their movements.
The daring heist has left the local community shocked, prompting calls for heightened security measures in the market area to prevent future incidents.
