Body of former Ravenshaw professor recovered from Mahanadi, probe underway

Bhubaneswar, Dec 17: The body of Baishnab Charan Singh, a former professor of Ravenshaw University, was recovered from the Mahanadi river near Jobra Barrage in Cuttack on Sunday. Singh, who owned a house in Rajendranagar, resided near Nandankanan in Bhubaneswar.
The incident came to light when locals noticed a body floating in the river and immediately alerted the police. A joint effort by police and Fire Services personnel led to the recovery of the body.
