Two unidentified women found dead on railway tracks in Balangir

Bhubaneswar, Dec 13: Two unidentified women were found in a near-dead condition on the railway track at Kukudahada village, near Kantabanji Railway Station in Balangir district, on Friday. Tragically, their bodies were discovered in a mutilated state, triggering widespread speculation about the circumstances of their deaths.

According to reports, local residents noticed the bodies early in the morning and immediately alerted the police. Law enforcement officials rushed to the scene, retrieved the bodies, and initiated a detailed investigation to determine the cause of death.

While the exact circumstances remain uncertain, police are exploring multiple angles, including the possibility of murder followed by the disposal of the bodies on the tracks. Alternatively, they are also considering whether the women may have been struck by a train while attempting to cross the tracks.

Authorities are questioning locals to gather any leads and have sought assistance from the railway authorities. The incident has raised concerns in the area, with residents urging swift clarification on the tragic deaths.
