IMD predicts light rainfall in Odisha over the next two days

Bhubaneswar, Dec 2: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light rainfall in various districts of Odisha over the next 48 hours. The rainfall is expected to bring some relief to the affected areas but will not significantly disrupt weather conditions.
In the next 24 hours, light rain is likely in parts of South Coastal Odisha, with districts such as Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Sundargarh, and Jharsuguda expected to receive scattered showers. Similar weather conditions are predicted for Tuesday in Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri.
By Wednesday, the rainfall activity will likely concentrate in Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri districts. However, from Friday through Sunday, the weather is expected to remain predominantly dry across the state.
The IMD has also clarified that no weather warnings have been issued for the next five days, indicating stable and mild weather conditions overall. Residents are advised to plan accordingly.
