Bhubaneswar, Nov 25: In a concerning road mishap, four individuals sustained injuries when the vehicle of Khalikote MLA Purna Chandra Sethy collided with an autorickshaw on NH-16 near Badapokharia Chhak in Khordha district on Monday.

Reports indicate that the BJP legislator was traveling in an SUV registered in his name when the accident occurred. The SUV rear-ended the autorickshaw, leaving its four passengers injured. Local residents promptly rushed to the spot and took the injured to the nearby Badapokharia Primary Health Center (PHC) for immediate medical attention. Fortunately, their conditions are reported to be stable.

The MLA himself remained unhurt in the incident, though his vehicle sustained front-end damage. Jankia police officials were alerted and quickly arrived at the scene to seize the autorickshaw involved.

An investigation has been initiated to determine the cause of the collision. Meanwhile, the MLA has refrained from issuing any public statement about the unfortunate event.
