Odisha to experience cooler nights, dry conditions persist: IMD

Bhubaneswar, Nov 15: The regional center of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar has forecasted a drop in minimum (night) temperatures by 2-4°C across many parts of Odisha over the next 4-5 days. The weather is expected to remain dry across the state's districts, according to the mid-day bulletin issued on Friday.
Dense fog was reported in a few areas of Sundargarh district in northern interior Odisha, while moderate fog occurred in Kandhamal district in southern interior Odisha. Overall, dry weather conditions prevailed across the state.
Minimum temperatures showed a noticeable drop in some parts of southern Odisha, with no significant changes observed elsewhere. Temperatures were significantly below normal in a few areas, slightly below normal in others, above normal at some locations in interior Odisha, and normal in the rest of the state.
The highest maximum temperature of 33.0°C was recorded in Paradip and Malkangiri, while the lowest minimum temperature of 13.9°C was recorded in Rourkela.
