Three critically injured in LPG cylinder blast in Odisha’s Rayagada

Bhubaneswar, Nov 15: Three people sustained critical injuries following an LPG cylinder explosion in a house near Raniguda Farm on Hatipatha Road in Odisha’s Rayagada district on Friday morning. The injured have been identified as D. Siva, Dharma Miniyaka, and Din Miniyaka.
According to reports, the victims were living in a rented house near Raniguda Farm. The incident occurred when one of them lit the gas oven, triggering an explosion due to a suspected gas leak from the LPG cylinder. The blast engulfed the house in flames, causing extensive damage.
Local residents alerted authorities, and emergency services promptly arrived at the scene. The victims were initially admitted to Rayagada District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for treatment. However, as their condition worsened, two were shifted to Berhampur and one to Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh for specialized medical care.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, urging residents to ensure safety measures when handling LPG cylinders.
