Bhadrak police recover murdered Sarpanch’s bike after brutal attack

Bhubaneswar, Nov 14: In a significant development in the alleged murder case of former Sarpanch and ex-president of Ambaroli Cooperative Society, Chitta Ranjan Rout, Bhadrak Rural police recovered his bike on Thursday morning from a nearby village after locals spotted it.
Rout, who was on his way home after attending a religious event at Bandhagaon village, was found murdered on Wednesday. According to reports, Rout had attended an ‘Asta Prahari’ program the previous night. When he failed to return home, his family members began a desperate search. Tragically, they discovered his blood-soaked body near a canal.
While his bike, mobile phone, and footwear were missing, ₹170 in cash was found in his pocket. Preliminary investigations revealed that Rout suffered multiple fatal injuries, including severe head trauma and lacerations, indicating a brutal attack that led to his death.
The police are continuing their investigation to identify the perpetrators of this gruesome crime.
