Strict Action To Taken For Influencing Transfer Order : Chief Secretary
Strict action will be taken to press for changes and postings. Chief Administrative Secretary Manoj Ahuja has written to the secretaries of all departments. With a new plan, the state government has given strict orders against violating such rules. It will be expensive for government employees to press for their own transfer and promotion with the written recommendation of the leader-minister.
Odisha Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja in his letter stated that such practice of undue influence is a clear violation of Rule 23 of Odisha Government Servants Conduct Rules, 1959.
No Government Servant shall seek or attempt to influence any authority to further his own interests in respect of his appointment under Government or promotion, pay and other conditions of service.
He directed the Secretary and the District Magistrates to ensure effective implementation of these guidelines.
