PM Modi likely to attend Birsa Munda's 150th birth anniversary in Rourkela
Bhubaneswar, Nov 9: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of legendary freedom fighter Birsa Munda in Rourkela on November 15, which will coincide with Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas. This event honors Birsa Munda’s extraordinary role in India’s fight for independence and highlights the country’s tribal heritage.
Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Minister Rabi Narayan Naik shared the update about the Prime Minister’s potential visit, stating, “November 15 marks the 150th birth anniversary of freedom fighter Birsa Munda. While Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to attend the celebrations in Rourkela, his visit is yet to be confirmed.”
Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, or Tribal Pride Day, commemorates the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda, a revered tribal leader born in 1875. This day was established to honor the sacrifices of tribal heroes like Munda and to celebrate their contributions to India’s freedom struggle.
