Bhubaneswar : Leader of Opposition and BJD Supremo Naveen Patnaik today criticized the ruling BJP government in the State, over death of people by eating mango kernel. 

While addressing party workers at a membership drive programme today at Sankha Bhavan, Naveen Patnaik said that the BJP Government has ruined the welfare measures introduced by the previous Government. 

He further said that the death of two people and six others hospitalizd after eating mango kernel in Mandipanka village under Gadapur panchayat of Kandhamal district, is a serious issue and very saddening. 

BJD Supremo further added that, the BJD Government had bettered the living standards of people through developmental activities. But, the present Government stopped the disbursal of rice to tribals without any strong reasons. They have been forced to consume mango kernel leading to deaths. He said that BJD had never done vote bank politics, and his government policies were pro people. 

He further said that the present BJP government in the State is ignoring the issues of the people. 

Naveen Patnaik said that the developmental work done by his BJD government uplifted the standard of living of people of the state.
