Police probe suspicious death of 25-year-old woman in Puri

Bhubaneswar, Nov 7: The body of a 25-year-old woman, identified as Ritanjali Guntha, was discovered floating in a pond near her husband’s residence in Harapada village, within Brahmagiri police station limits in Odisha's Puri district, on Thursday morning. Ritanjali had been missing since Wednesday night. Her body was found with a stone tied around her neck, which has led to suspicions of foul play and raised serious allegations of murder.
According to reports, Ritanjali had an argument with her husband, Manas Ranjan Guntha, on Wednesday evening before her disappearance. Her family members have filed a formal complaint against her husband and his family, accusing them of domestic violence, harassment, and murder. They allege that Ritanjali was frequently mistreated and suspect that her death was an act of retaliation.
Police have initiated an investigation and collected evidence from the scene, but no arrests have been made so far. The case has stirred concern in the local community as authorities continue their inquiry into the incident.
