Frustrated passengers protest at Bhubaneswar Airport after Air India flight cancelled twice

Bhubaneswar, Nov 7: More than 60 passengers staged a protest at Biju Patnaik International Airport on Thursday after Air India flight IX 2932 from Bhubaneswar to Hyderabad was cancelled twice, causing significant inconvenience.
The flight was originally scheduled to depart at 9:55 a.m. on Wednesday, but was first delayed and rescheduled for 8:45 a.m. on Thursday. When it was canceled a second time without sufficient explanation, passengers grew frustrated and began protesting.
Many passengers alleged that airport authorities failed to provide a clear reason for the cancellation, leaving them without any recourse. A number of them had connecting flights in Hyderabad, while others faced urgent work commitments. The repeated delays disrupted their schedules, with some travelers reportedly stranded overnight.
Passengers expressed anger over the lack of communication from Air India, leading to demands for greater transparency. In response, airport authorities attributed the delays to technical issues with the inbound flight from Hyderabad.
