Bhubaneswar Metro Rail Project By 2027

The Bhubaneswar Metro Rail Project will be completed by the end of December 2027. Bhubaneswar Metro Rail Project Authority has informed about this. The metro rail project will be implemented with an expenditure of Rs 6,255.94 crore, entirely borne by the state government.
According to information, the metro trains will run both underground and surface. The train will run on the surface at a height of 13 meters above the ground. Heights will be higher in Rajmahal, Jaydev vihar and Baranga. Soil testing for the project is currently underway. Soil is taken from 50 to 60 feet below and tested in the laboratory. The foundation work of the project will begin after the completion of the soil test. The government plans to buy 13 metro trains with three coaches. The first phase of metro rail project will link the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in the city here with Trisulia Square in Cuttack.
It is said that after the implementation of the project, metro trains will run every 10 minutes.
