Paddy Procurement From November 21st
Bhubaneswar: A minister level meeting has been held regarding the purchase of grain in the current kharif season. It has been decided in the meeting that the purchase of paddy will start from November 21. Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari informed about this.
Suresh Pujari informed that the target has been set to buy 80 lakh tons of paddy this year. The government will buy paddy from farmers at Rs 3100 per quintal.
All mandis will have quality testing machines to check the quality of paddy. 4 to 5 mandis will have one supervisor each.
