Assailants open fire in Rourkela, young man critically injured
Bhubaneswar, Nov 4: A shocking incident unfolded near the Traffic Gate market on Ring Road in Rourkela on Monday morning, as a young man was critically injured in a shooting. The victim, identified as Abhesh Ray, was attacked around 9:00 AM by two to three assailants who opened fire on him.
Abhesh sustained a severe bullet wound and was quickly rushed to Rourkela Government Hospital (RGH) by local residents who responded to his distress. The assailants fled the scene immediately after the attack, leaving behind a tense atmosphere in the area.
Upon being notified, police arrived at the location and began an investigation to determine the motive behind the shooting. Authorities are currently searching for the attackers, while Abhesh's condition remains critical. The incident has raised concerns about safety in the area, prompting heightened security measures.
