Goddess Kali immersion turns violent in Cuttack, six injured

Bhubaneswar, Nov 4: Six people were injured during a violent clash between two groups late Sunday night during the Goddess Kali idol immersion procession near Chandini Chowk Royal Garden in Cuttack. The injured individuals were rushed to SCB Medical College and Hospital for treatment.
The clash erupted when youths from Muhammadiya Bazar and Chandini Chowk Hasinabagh areas got into a heated argument while returning from the idol immersion ceremony. The confrontation quickly escalated, leading to both groups hurling stones and glass bottles at each other.
Amid the chaos, miscreants allegedly vandalized a shop and damaged three motorbikes. The Lalbagh police station was alerted, and officers promptly arrived to defuse the situation and restore order.
