Unnatural Elephant Death In The State To Be Investigated
Forest, Environment and Climate Change Minister Shri Ganesh Ram Singh Khuntia has ordered to take strict action against the culprits after investigating the unnatural deaths that have occurred since the beginning of 2024.
The minister said, Since the beginning of this year, about 50 cases of elephant deaths in the state have been published in various newspapers. This is very alarming. The state government is taking various measures to prevent unnatural deaths. Gajasathi , Rapid Action Team etc. steps have been taken. He further said that a greater need for skill and dedication and efficiency of forest department officials is also needed.
