Odisha govt to disburse third phase of Subhadra Yojana aid by November end

Bhubaneswar, Nov 2: Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced on Saturday that the third phase of financial assistance under the Subhadra Yojana will be credited directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts by the end of November. This phase aims to cover all previously excluded individuals, including Anganwadi workers, ensuring broader support across Odisha.
Under the Subhadra Yojana, a key initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17, 2024, the Odisha government plans to empower women by extending financial aid. By the end of December, the government aims to reach approximately 1.20 crore women beneficiaries, with a fourth phase already in planning.
Parida confirmed that a high-level committee has addressed the cases of 2.67 lakh women who were initially excluded. To ensure no eligible applicant is left out, a three-member verification committee—comprising the Block Development Officer (BDO), Tehsildar, and District Social Welfare Officers (DSWs)—will re-examine the details of all rejected applicants for prompt inclusion in the scheme.
