Girl’s hand severed in Bhubaneswar after being hit by speeding ‘Mo Bus’

Bhubaneswar, Nov 2: A horrific accident occurred near the Chandrasekharpur petrol pump in Bhubaneswar on Saturday when a girl’s left hand was severed after being hit by a ‘Mo Bus.’ The accident was reportedly caused by reckless driving on the part of the bus driver.
According to reports, the girl was riding a scooter when a speeding ‘Mo Bus’ struck the motorcyclist behind her. The impact caused the rider to lose control, colliding with the girl and knocking her to the ground. Tragically, the bus then ran over her hand, severing it.
The bus driver fled the scene immediately following the accident. Local residents alerted emergency services, and a 108 ambulance quickly transported the critically injured girl and the motorcyclist to Capital Hospital. The girl remains in critical condition.
Outraged locals blocked the Jaydev Vihar–Nandan Kanan Road, halting traffic and refusing to let ‘Mo Bus’ vehicles pass. Over 15 buses were stranded, causing a massive traffic jam. Protesters demanded compensation for the victims and strict action against the absconding driver.
