Bhubaneswar, Nov 2: In a tragic incident, a man reportedly killed his wife with a sharp weapon and then ended his own life by hanging in the Kushanpuri area under Bhatli police jurisdiction in Bargarh district on Friday. The deceased have been identified as Shor Bhue and his wife, Sunita Bhue.

The couple, married for 14 years, had been living in Bhatli for the past four years. According to reports, they had been experiencing serious marital conflicts for months. On Friday night, Shor allegedly stabbed Sunita, leaving the knife lodged in her abdomen, before taking his own life by hanging.

The incident was discovered when the landlord notified the police and the couple's families. Bhatli police, along with a forensic team, arrived at the scene to investigate and confirmed the presence of a knife in Sunita’s body.

Initial findings suggest a murder-suicide. Due to the late hour, the post-mortem examination has been scheduled for Saturday.
