Rain to persist over Odisha till November 2, says IMD
Bhubaneswar, Oct 28: Though the southwest monsoon has fully withdrawn from Odisha, several parts of the state will continue to experience light to moderate rain and thundershowers, according to the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) regional center. In its mid-day bulletin on Monday, the IMD issued weather forecasts and warnings for the next five days.
Weather Forecast for Odisha:
Day 1: (Up to 8:30 AM, October 29, 2024)
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers expected in several areas.
Yellow Warning: Thunderstorms with lightning may occur at isolated places in Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Gajapati, and
Ganjam districts.
Day 2: (8:30 AM, October 29, to 8:30 AM, October 30, 2024)
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers likely at one or two places across Odisha.
Day 3: (8:30 AM, October 30, to 8:30 AM, October 31, 2024)
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers expected at isolated places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, and
Nuapada districts.
Dry weather likely to prevail in the remaining districts.
Day 4: (8:30 AM, October 31, to 8:30 AM, November 1, 2024)
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers forecast for Nuapada, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, and Sundargarh districts.
Dry weather likely in the rest of Odisha.
Day 5: (8:30 AM, November 1, to 8:30 AM, November 2, 2024)
Similar conditions as Day 4, with light to moderate rain or thundershowers expected in Nuapada, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, and Sundargarh districts, while dry weather will prevail elsewhere.
