Bhubaneswar, Oct 28: The body of Basudev Pradhan (50), an employee of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), was found along a railway track in the factory area, retrieved by the Tangarpali police on Monday. Pradhan, a resident of Sector 4D Block in Rourkela, worked as a Master Technician in the Heavy Maintenance Electrical (HME) department.

According to reports, Pradhan had recently been transferred to the HME department from the Hotstrip Mill-1, less than a month ago. His sudden death has left colleagues and family members in shock.

The police have taken custody of the body and placed it in the IGH mortuary for post-mortem. Authorities are still investigating the cause of death, as no clear signs have yet emerged to explain the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A case has been registered by the Tangarpali police, and they have initiated a detailed probe to determine whether the death was accidental, natural, or involved foul play.
