Bhubaneswar, Oct 26: Police have arrested three suspects in connection with the alleged gang rape of a 21-year-old woman in the Fatehgarh police station area of Nayagarh district, Odisha.

According to a statement from the Odisha Police Headquarters in Cuttack, the suspects have been remanded to court.
The victim lodged a complaint at the Fatehgarh police station on Friday, October 25. She reported that on Sunday, October 20, at around 6:10 PM, while returning from the Ram temple in Fatehgarh with a friend, they were intercepted by three unidentified individuals near Pithakhai forest.

The suspects allegedly forced both of them into the forest, where they assaulted the victim and recorded explicit videos. They threatened to make the videos public before sexually assaulting her.

A case (Case No. 276, dated 25.10.2024) has been registered, and police took swift action to arrest the suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
