Two warders suspended for violating jail manual at Karanjia sub-jail
Bhubaneswar, Sept 14: The Jail Superintendent of Baripada Circle Jail has suspended Swagat Kumar Ratha and Krushna Chandra Mohanta, warders of Karanjia Sub-jail, for violating the jail manual.
The suspension, ordered by the Senior Superintendent of Circle Jail, Baripada, followed a directive from the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Prisons after a detailed investigation into the matter.
Sources reveal that the two warders were suspended for bringing mobile phones inside the Karanjia Sub-Jail. They were found guilty of negligence, disobeying orders from superior officers, and violating the jail manual by using mobile phones within the jail premises.
During their suspension, Ratha and Mohanta have been instructed to report to the District Jail in Balasore.
