Body of missing youth found in canal in Odisha's Jajpur
Bhubaneswar, Sept 5: Police recovered the body of a young man from a canal behind a stone crusher near Rathia, under the Dharmasala police limits in Odisha’s Jajpur district, on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Rudra Prasad Behera, son of Narahari Behera from Abhayapur village.
Rudra had been missing since last Tuesday, and despite his family’s desperate search, they were unable to find him. Eventually, they filed a missing person report at the Dharmasala police station on Wednesday.
On Thursday, locals discovered Rudra’s body floating in the canal in the Rathia area and immediately alerted the police and his family. Police arrived at the scene, retrieved the body, and initiated an investigation.
While initial findings suggest that Rudra’s death may be related to a love affair, the police are continuing to investigate the case.
