Santoor Maestro Pandit Shivkumar Sharma Is No More

Sad from the music world, Padma Vibhushan Indian composer and santoor player Pandit Shivkumar Sharma passed away in Mumbai. Shivkumar Sharma died at the age of 84. Shivkumar was suffering from kidney related problems for the last six months and was on dialysis. He died due to cardiac arrest. There is a wave of mourning in the entire industry as soon as this news comes to the fore. Stars and fans are paying tribute to him through posts on social media.
The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has condoled the death of Pandit Shivkumar Sharma on Twitter. He tweeted, 'The demise of Pandit Shivkumar Sharma ji is a great loss to our cultural world. He popularized the santoor globally. His music will continue to enchant generations to come. I remember very well my conversation with him. Condolences to his family and fans. Peace.'
